If you believe that spam is a free-speech issue then you must also believe that if some drunk follows you round talking crap at you all day and every day and just will not go away, ever, then that is free speech too.

It’s a massive oversimplification to say that EFF supports or ’is in the corner of’ spam. It doesn’t, although it does flag up free speech problems that could occur if antispam measures are applied too broadly.
